Film for cooking, pasteurisation and sterilisation
CrystalPAK · CrystalPAK SlimThe film is produced using Water Quench technology: during cooling, water is used instead of air. As a result, the films are characterised by high gloss, very high transparency, very good stretching properties and puncture resistance.

CrystalPAK vs CrystalPAK Slim
The modified structure of Slim films preserves their properties while reducing thickness: for films of around 240–200 µm the reduction is 40–50 µm, for films of around 120–80 µm it is 25–30 µm. Reduced thickness means a lower product fee and a smaller carbon footprint. Our technologists assist during trials of switching to reduced-thickness films.

GlossPAK · GlossPAK SlimFilm produced using Water Quench technology: the film is shock-cooled with water rather than air. GlossPAK multilayer films combine high gloss and transparency with very good puncture resistance.

GlossPAK vs GlossPAK Slim
For films of around 250–200 µm the thickness reduction is 50 µm, for films of around 120–80 µm it is 25–30 µm. GlossPAK Slim additionally allows pasteurisation at up to 100 °C (for up to 1 hour, fat-free food only, e.g. vegetables). Watch the film from GlossPAK Slim tests at a customer.

ExtraPAKExtraPAK are flexo-printed top films and laminates for thermoforming machines. They are not thermoformable: they form the top of the package, e.g. a thermoformed GlossPAK bottom and a printed ExtraPAK top. Our technologist adapts each structure to the packaged product. The EcoPAK line consists of recyclable mono PP, mono PET and mono PE structures; the recyclability of the complete package is confirmed by the variant documentation.

Flexographic print shop, wide web
Two state-of-the-art wide-web presses print up to 10 colours in widths up to 1200 mm. Double-sided print register reaches 0.2 mm accuracy, and the Smart GPS system registers the print within 40 metres. Barcodes are inspected online across the full width and length of the web. Our own photopolymer plate prepress and graphic studio ensure brand colour consistency and on-time delivery of orders.

OTR (oxygen transmission) and WVTR (water vapour transmission) barrier values are given only in the data sheet of a specific variant, with the test method, unit and measurement conditions. Parameters of different variants are not comparable without this data; you will receive the variant data sheet from a technologist after sending an enquiry.

Frequently asked questions about thermoforming films
What is the difference between CrystalPAK and GlossPAK?
CrystalPAK is designed for heat treatment in the package: cooking, pasteurisation and sterilisation, including sous vide and microwave. GlossPAK is a film for vacuum and MAP packaging, with an optional EVOH and UV barrier. Both series are made with Water Quench technology, which ensures high transparency and puncture resistance.
Can I reduce film thickness without losing properties?
Yes, that is what the Slim versions are for. For 200–250 µm films the reduction reaches 40–50 µm, for 80–120 µm films it is 25–30 µm. Lower thickness means a lower product fee and a smaller carbon footprint. Our technical advisor conducts trials of switching to reduced-thickness film directly on your line.
Are PAK films recyclable?
The EcoPAK line is recyclable, i.e. the mono-material versions of ExtraPAK: mono PP, mono PET and mono PE, also printed. CrystalPAK and GlossPAK are recyclable (not 100%). The recyclability of a complete package is assessed for the whole structure, including print and closure.
How does cooperation start?
An account manager gathers the product requirements and machine parameters, a technologist proposes a film structure, and then we organise trials on the line. Orders are fulfilled in accordance with the General Trading Terms and Conditions, and the series data sheets can be downloaded on this page.
