Less plastic, more responsibility
Our mission is to eliminate food waste by providing safe packaging that extends the shelf life of food, with the least possible impact on the environment.
We reduce film thickness
With GlossPAK Slim and CrystalPAK Slim films we reduce thickness by up to 27% (e.g. from 150 μm to 110 μm). Less plastic means a lower product fee and a smaller carbon footprint of the packaging.
We design for recycling
Mono PP, mono PET and mono PE structures are recyclable; we have implemented, among others, doypacks for sweets and flow packs for minced meat made of mono PE.
We produce cleaner
We hold the Cleaner Production Certificate and the FSC® C144705 certificate confirming the responsible origin of paper raw materials.
What we measure: public summary
The ESG Strategy 2025–2027 is publicly available, and the full report is provided on request. Below is the scope of indicators published in the summary, each with a base year, method and comparison boundaries.
Figures, base year and method are published by the quality department once the data is approved; the summary does not replace the full report.
We consciously take responsibility for the reality our actions affect
Our goal is to make a profit while taking care of the profit of others: our employees, customers, the natural environment and the community.
At PAK we have been acting responsibly for years, towards the environment, people and the market. Today we go a step further. In response to the challenges of the modern world and the needs of our customers, employees and partners, we have implemented the ESG Strategy for 2025–2027: a comprehensive action plan in three areas, environment (E), society (S) and corporate governance (G), which is the foundation of our further decisions and investments.
The ESG Report 2025 is now available. Contact our sales department to receive the full version of the report.
Responsibility towards the natural environment
Wanting to help minimise food waste by providing safe packaging, we carry out research and development work to reduce our impact on the natural environment. We reduce the weight of packaging by making it thinner and suggesting to producers that they downsize the packaging wherever this is possible without losing its functionality. We reduce the amount of production waste, and polyolefin waste is 100% processed into modern finished products. We design mono-material packaging that is suitable for recycling.
Social responsibility
We focus on helping associations and foundations that aim to counteract social exclusion, as well as supporting education, culture and sport. We act locally. We work continuously with the Toruń association Serce Torunia, which helps people experiencing homelessness. We are involved in the activities of Domkultury_Bydgoskie Przedmieście. We support the Toruń animal shelter. We sponsor local sports clubs.
Economic responsibility: we build lasting relationships with our customers, and the principles of ethics and mutual respect are key to us. High ethical standards apply to both our customers and our suppliers.
Responsibility in the workplace
We are a family-owned company and the working atmosphere is extremely important to us. We support the career development of our employees and invest in their training and courses. We take care of their health by covering the cost of private health insurance with a very wide package of services.
Cooperation, communication and relationship building are important to us. We want to create a workplace based on respect, openness and trust. We have a Code of Ethics, a set of values and rules of conduct that PAK employees and associates must follow.

Looking for packaging with a smaller footprint?
We will calculate how much plastic can be taken out of your packaging.
How much plastic can you save?
In the described implementation, switching from GlossPAK 150 μm to GlossPAK Slim 110 μm reduced the film thickness by 26.7% while keeping the packaging function. Move the slider to see the scale for your consumption.
Illustrative estimate: it assumes a proportional relationship between mass and thickness for a comparable variant. The actual result depends on the structure and is confirmed by a trial on the line, as in the 150 → 110 μm case study.

Frequently asked questions about ESG
Does a thinner film not weaken product protection?
Thickness reduction is always preceded by a trial: in the 150 → 110 μm case study, the seal, puncture resistance and performance on the customer’s line were checked before series implementation. The limits of reduction are set by the structure and the application.
Is PAK packaging “100% eco-friendly”?
We avoid such slogans. We speak specifically: which structures are recyclable, which document confirms it and what the scope is. The biggest environmental effect of packaging is protecting food from being wasted.
Film or paper: which is better for the environment?
It depends on the application: what counts is the mass of material per function, product protection and a realistic recycling path. We discuss the balance in a separate guide.
Where can I find PAK’s environmental documents?
The Cleaner Production Certificate, FSC® and other certificates, with scopes and dates, are published in our quality policy section.
